I also had a bladder infection and was prescribed Levaquin. I suddenly had problems with my foot, which I researched on the Internet. I thought it was due to the fact that I was wearing slippers a lot and that I had maybe done something to my foot and my achiles heel. The pain stemmed from my toes to the back of my foot. I did everything I could think of ... like streching my foot, to help the pain and soaking it. I lived with it and then months later heard on TV that there was a problem with this med and if I experienced this problem with my foot to contact my lawyer. They were associating this foot problem with the antibiotic Levaquin. I did not associate my problem with the medication until I heard this ad on TV. I presently have a problem...my two middle toes have separated and my foot is larger than my other foot... and I developed a corn on my one toe. The shoe on the right foot is tight. I never went to a doc about it because I didn't suspect that my problem could be the antibiotic I was taking, and at the point that I heard that this med was a problem and to contact the lawyer, by then it was many months after the fact. I finally mentioned this problem to my doctor and he said to be sure I never take it again. Really?

For years, I've been using a generic version of Diflucan (fluconazole) for a recurring bladder infection I get every so often, and it works wonders. While I was searching for meds for this problem, I came across some scary articles about Levaquin as well. I haven't ever tried anything else in this category (other than ketoconazole for a weird skin fungus I used to get), so I'm glad Levaquin has never touched these lips! On a side note, I left the world of local pharmacies behind a long time ago and switched to buying online (which took a bit of work and a couple of money losses) but in the end it pays off. Meds India sells Diflucan (well, the generic version of it) and I've never really had any problems aside from normal side effects at all.
