After you become a member you will gain access to our “Med Order Info”. Before you start ordering your prescription drugs online, we want to give you some brief and basic ordering tips.
This comprehensive consumers guide will help you make smart and safe decisions while providing "Quick Tips” when you decide to order your online medication.
What Consumers Can Do
With hundreds of drug-dispensing websites in business, how can consumers tell which websites are legitimate ones, especially when it is very easy to set up a site that is very professional-looking and promises deep discounts or minimum hassles?
"Consumers need to be cautious," says Jeffrey Shuren, M.D., medical officer in FDA's Office of Policy, Planning and Legislation. "You should use the same kind of common sense you use when buying from any business. You look for a reputable dealer. You get recommendations from friends. You check the place out."
You don't have to worry when you use ePharmacies. Our Member Rating System allows our members to rate the pharmacies they have used and offer comments about their experience. The online pharmacies listed in the members’ area have been independently rated and reviewed by our existing members - who better to rate and review the pharmacies than people like yourself, that have used them before!
Another helpful site that is completely free to use is a new search engine called eDrugSearch.com and it allows consumers to compare prescription drugs online for free. This search engine only accepts licensed and accredited Canadian pharmacies within their database to ensure the highest medication quality and consumer safety. I was really impressed with their low prices, the number of medications wihin their database and I found allot of useful consumer info on their blog at www.eDrugSearch.com/edsblog . If you like their content then you can subscribe to their RSS Feed like I did. If you don't know what an RSS feed is then click here . Briefly put, it allows you to subscribe to someones content that is updated daily without being spammed because you can unsubscribe at anytime. You will need an RSS Feed reader but that now comes standard in most internet browsers.
U.S. Law: Government officials have stated that individuals who order prescription drugs from Canada or other foreign pharmacy sources (up to 90 day quantities) for personal use are not being pursued or prosecuted. However, it is technically not legal to order prescription drugs from abroad. For detailed information on this policy see the FDA Coverage of Personal Importations policy at: http:www.fda.gov/ora/compliance_ref/rpm_new2/ch9pers.html
Insurance Coverage: For a drug to be reimbursable from a health reimbursement account or flexible spending account it must be approved for sale in the U.S. and prescribed by a licensed U.S. physician. If you have pharmacy insurance coverage, you may want to check with your benefits administrator to determine whether drugs ordered from outside the U.S. will be covered or reimbursed.
